From Colorverse’s season 5, the Red Planet, Map of Mars is ink number 63 in their catalog. Colorverse frequently theme seasons of releases around topics related to astrophysics and space exploration. Season five is focused on Mars.

Colorverse Map of Mars - range of tones and sheen

This is a blue-leaning teal, but in wetter application yellow undertones develop prominence that sometimes shifts it from a blue to a green-leaning teal. This is a strong ink on the page, but you’ll occasionally find a bit of shading that add lighter areas of accent to written strokes.

Colorverse Map of Mars’ rich, plum sheening

Map of Mars performed beautifully on all test papers. I didn’t have any problems with feathering, but moderate show through occurs on some papers. It has a decent flow, neither wet, nor dry, and is comfortable on the page. It dries quickly, and it’s been in my Vanishing Point all week (refilled again, and again).

I think Colorverse Map of Mars is a beautiful, well-behaved ink that’s very comfortable as a daily driver. Fun enough for casual use, but perfect in a professional setting, as well. It has a playful lightness that gives it great personality. I really like this ink, and think you will, too!
