Diamine Jack Frost - brilliant ink drop

Part of Diamine’s 2019 Inkvent calendar, Jack Frost is a shimmering, sheen-packed, winter dream! This ink seems to get a lot of attention, and for good reason! These days, Jack Frost is available in the Blue Edition series in a beautiful, legged, presentation bottle.

This is a beautiful, rich, bright mid-blue. It’s a blue that really pops! Like a field of frost on a winter night, there’s a shimmer that coats the blue with a pillowy, platinum blanket of sparkles. In wetter areas, edges, and areas of pooling, a pink-red siren of sheen swirls and generously completes Jack Frost’s parade of visuals.

Don’t think this ink is all show, though. As a writing ink, it performs very well. I haven’t seen even a trace of feathering, strokes are clean and crisp, and it dries quite quickly. Both the shimmer and edge sheen are as strong here, as they are on the swatch.
