Wow! I can’t believe that it’s been more than two years since this beauty came out! Jacques Herbin created this limited edition 350 ink to commemorate their 350th anniversary. Vert Atlantide’s color and shimmer combination was selected by users, and I’d say they chose really well!

Jacques Herbin - Vert Atlantide - shades and sparkle!

Vert Atlantide is a beautifully rich, luscious, deep forest green. There isn’t a lot of shading, but light areas reveal the grey components that can be seen in the chromatography below. The shimmer here is dazzling! Jacques Herbin say it’s a mix of silver and gold, and I don’t think they’ve done that before. I definitely see some silver, but the brassy gold really dominates. This really is a beautiful ink.

In writing, Vert Atlantide’s flow is as rich as its coloration. This is a smooth, very viscous ink. That helps ensure that strokes are razor-sharp and very well-controlled. It also results in drying times that are a little longer than I prefer. Despite that, this is a very enjoyable ink in use.
