Robert Oster inks are consistently good writing inks and come in a huge range of interesting colors. Blue Water Ice continues that trend. This is a beautiful writing ink, and a beautiful blue. I’ve done my best to color-correct to accurately match the ink, but it's nicer, and more interesting in person, than I have been able to capture. I’d call it a combination of deep turquoise and traditional mid-blue, with a tiny hint of yellow.

Written strokes are well-defined. The brilliant red sheen that is so visible in the ink splatter, is also sometimes visible on the edges of written strokes. There‘s also a nice amount of shading. This is a fairly quick drying ink, but it’s wet and juicy in the nib.
