This timeless beauty is Rose Gold Antiqua from Robert Oster’s Shake ‘n’ Shimmy collection. It’s an interesting ink in that it feels both classically beautiful, and fresh at the same time. I see the glamour of Hollywood’s golden era, but I see a very modern complexity here, as well. It’s stunning!

Robert Oster - Rose Gold Antiqua - Color Range

The base color is a deep, dusty rose-pink. It shades light in writing, and broader, wetter nibs allow deeper, darker shades to develop, as well. Robert Oster handles shimmers very thoughtfully, and this one is exceptionally nice. The fine-particle gold shimmer becomes the perfect rose gold when seen against the blends of pinks and reds. The name truly matches the ink!

Robert Oster - Rose Gold Antiqua - Edge and Shimmer

This is a comfortable ink both in the pen and on the page. It flows nicely, neither wet, nor dry overall, and drying was about average. The shimmer didn’t cause any problems writing or cleaning.
