Vinta Inks - Aegean Armada - Light to Dark Shades

The splash reveals a swirling confluence of deliciously powdery tones. On the base of a silvery, tarnished grey, we can see influences of oranges and pinks, various blues and greens, and a blackening along the edges of the wettest saturation. In some areas, there’s even a thin band of delicate mother-of-pearl sheen dancing along the outermost edge of the blackness.

In writing, Aegean Armada is equally beautiful and performed well. In my wet, medium test nib, it produces dark grey strokes, but the beautiful dusty oranges and pinks overlay the grey, giving the writing a combination of strength and softness that is very appealing. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this in both professional and more casual settings. It is a well-behaved ink that also dries quickly, which I particularly appreciate.

I think Aegean Armada, together with a couple of Vinta’s interesting, soft, muted selections would create a truly beautiful, powdery palette. This ink is popular for a reason!
