Yachingstyle Traveling - Ink drop
My second ink from Taiwan’s Yachingstyle! The company’s owner, Lai Ya-Ching is frequent highlight of shows and gatherings in Korea and Japan. More recently, she’s been involved in a couple of shows in the US, as well. She’s a strong presence in the hobby and collaborates with several other artisans in both wood and glass to bring our attention to their works.
Ink Swatches on Cosmo Air Light and Tomoe River
Traveling is a beautiful, chromo-shading purple. Depending on the paper, you’ll find blushes of pinks, violets, and wine reds in the swatches. In writing, it can lean from deep violet to ripe red purple. It has a lot of personality, which I think is wonderful in a purple ink. There’s traditional light to dark shading, as well.
Ink Swatches on Takasago Bank Paper and Iroful
Writing performance is predictable and consistent. It has a nice neutral to slightly wet flow and drying times are average to just a touch longer. I found a few spots of micro-feathering, but it isn’t very noticeable or distracting at all. They likely occur due to fingerprints on the page and shouldn’t be cause for concern.

You can find Yachingstyle and information on ordering this or any of their other inks and items on Instagram and at a few select retailers. If you’re lucky enough to see the brand at a show, don’t hesitate to stop by. She’s wonderfully friendly and a passionate enthusiast!
