Pennonia - Orgona
Released in the spring of 2021 as part of a 5-ink, multi-chromatic, shading mini-series, Pennonia Orgona is a gentle beauty. To get the most from the ink, Pennonia recommends very wet fountain pens, brushes, or dip pens.
The base color is a gorgeous lilac lavender. It’s soft and delicate, and a fantastic canvas to birth the other exciting shades and complements it offers. As it dries, an extroverted pink takes over the spotlight. Aqua blues, mid-blues, and hints of orange act as the melody, while the lilac and pink sing the solos. A dark edging adds drama and order, and it completes the performance.
Pennonia Orgona is a nice writing ink. It’s wet and flows smoothly. The dark halo edge makes it pop from the page. It’s a bit slow to dry, but that’s the price for the show!
I have a couple of other lavender, multi-chromatic shaders, but I think this is bolder and more dramatic than the more popular alternatives (Sailor, Troublemaker, Vinta). At US$13 for 50ml, Pennonia inks are very attractively priced. I recommend you give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!
