Morning Mist is part of Robert Oster’s standard Signature series. It falls within a range of colors that I think Robert Oster does exceptionally well. Suitable for any occasion, it’s the kind of color that I can use all day long!

Robert Oster - Morning Mist - Color Variation

Morning Mist is a gorgeous, deep aquamarine. In many ways, it reminds me of one of my favorite Robert Oster inks, Tranquillity. While Tranquility leans slightly blue, Morning Mist inches towards green. In areas of saturation, hints of yellow surface from the depths. This is a nice shading ink, with light areas showcasing a true aquamarine. The splatter reveals a nice dark edging with a thin band of soft, electric pink sheening, as well as the full range of shades.

Robert Oster - Morning Mist - Dark, Defined Edging

Robert Oster inks are often considered drier writers. Morning Mist doesn’t feel dry in writing and flows comfortably. It does enjoy fairly fast drying time, though, and that’s always a plus! The dark edging provides a lovely stroke halo, and makes it a very nicely defined writing ink. Although the pink sheen in the splatter is rarely seen in writing, it looks fantastic on the page! I really enjoy this ink.

This is a beautiful ink, and a very nice writer. It’s also a great choice if you’re worried about the dryness of some Robert Oster inks. That’s not a problem here. If you like Tranquility, you’ll like Morning Mist, too.
