Based in Osaka, Japan, Teranishi Chemical Industry Co. began making ink in 1916. In 2021, they released their popular Guitar Taisho-Roman Haikara series that now includes sixteen colors. In 2022, they won excellence awards for both functionality and design at the Japan Stationery Awards. In 2023, they released the Fujiyama Irodori series based on the seasonal colors of Mt. Fuji. Teranishi makes inks for other popular brands, such as Taccia.
