Tono & Lims - Labradorite
Another beauty from Tono & Lims! Labradorite is number 009 in their Earth Contact line. This is a bright, sunny, green-blue aquamarine. It has the color and clarity of a brilliant turquoise sea, as the tide gently tickles the sparkling sand of the shoreline. Named for the dazzling, opalescent gemstone, it’s the ink’s gorgeous shimmer that really makes the name appropriate. The fine-particle yellow gold shimmer lightly accents the aquamarine background of written strokes, and blankets areas of wetter application and pooling. The combination gives the ink depth, and the appearance of clear Caribbean waters sparkling in the sunlight.
This is a well-behaved ink that works very well as a writer. Strokes are clean and crisp with no feather or bleed on higher quality papers. It even performed fairly well on cheap, office copy paper, with just a slight feathering. Drying time was about average, so there really aren’t any negatives to worry about.
I like Labradorite. It’s a real stunner! Having a bit of a bad day? Feeling run-down? Fill a pen with this ink and put nib to paper. It will brighten your day and put a smile on your face! Tono & Lims is a real star in the ink world. As long as they keep making inks like this, I’ll keep buying them!
