Pierre Cardin - Avocado
Pierre Cardin Avocado Ink drop
Oh yes! This gorgeous green is Avocado - Creamy Green from Pierre Cardin! It’s part of the six-ink Colours of Fruitasy series. These are shimmer inks, but the shimmer is fine, and it’s easy to fill a pen or convertor without any shimmer if that’s your preference.
Ink Swatches on Cosmo Air Light and Tomoe River
Avocado was gifted to me at April’s Seoul Pen Show by my friend, @imokyoung. She’s the General Manager of Logos Co, the Korean distributor for Pierre Cardin. I’m always interested in trying light greens, and the moment I started writing with it, I knew this one was special. The series itself is nicely balanced, and there are several others that I’m going to have to get at some point!
Ink Swatches on Cosmo Iroful and Takasago Bank Papers
Avocado is a very sunshine citrus lime green. It’s beautifully bold, and immediately makes you feel happy. The shimmer is a nice electric blue, and that’s a really unusual, but very attractive combination. I don’t think I’ve seen another ink mixing light green ink with blue shimmer. After seeing this, I’m sure it won’t be the last!
Writing sample on Cosmo Air Snow paper
Writing performance was 100% solid. There wasn’t any feathering or spread on any paper including cheap copy paper. It writes flawlessly. The shimmer doesn’t cause any clogging or flow issues at all. As you can see, there’s also a very dark, defining stroke edge that makes each stroke pop off the page. I love it!

I got the 20 ml bottle, but you can also find it in 15 ml and 30 ml bottles. For me, the 20 ml is a good sweet spot if you want to get a few. I just wish I’d bought some of the other colors in the series, as well!
