Zephyr Studio is an in-house ink and glass pen brand for Osaka’s Giftionery Delta. In 2025, they released five inks. This gorgeous purple is Usu Beni Fuji.

StyleDee, Giftionery Delta’s online store, describes Usu Beni Fuji as “an ink that expresses the color of light red wisteria.” As you can see, the color really depends on the paper you choose. On some, the base color is a powdery but firm deep violet, and it gives the impression of thoughtfulness and softer emotions. On others it is bright and vivid, with a playful vibe. In both cases, red is a beautiful influence, but on Tomoe River and Takasago Bank papers, it absolutely gushes with energy. There is some nice shading, too.

This is a nice, consistent, very stable writing ink. I didn’t have a problems with feathering or spreading. Strokes were always crisp and sharp. Ink flow is neutral to wet, and never hints at being dry. Drying time was average or better, as well. I really like this ink.
