Tono & Lims - Agnetha
Another beauty from Tono & Lims! Although Agnetha is less unusual than I’ve come to expect from this innovative ink maker, it’s a solid performer. Plus, teals are always a popular range for fountain pen ink.
Agnetha is a deep, blue teal that leans greener in wetter areas. In areas of pooling, lighter greens and yellows develop and add a powdery element to the visual feel. In writing, it tends to show its darker side. As the splatter shows, there is a deep, plum sheen to saturated areas. On some papers (especially coated papers), this can be seen as a vibrant stroke edging. I get a bit of shading on some papers, as well, but it isn’t a strong shading ink.
In writing, Agnetha is rich in consistency with a smooth flow that is very pleasant. I didn’t have any problems with feathering. It dries quickly and behaves well, although show-through will be heavier on cheaper papers. This is a nice writing ink.
I find this to be a very enjoyable ink that is both comforting and comfortable. It would make a great everyday ink.
