Tramol - Qing He
This ink grabbed me immediately, and I was all smiles! Tramol Qing He is a stunning ink with brilliant gold shimmer. No ink has reminded me more of the beautiful waters of the Caribbean or the atolls of the Maldives. This is a fantastic summer ink!
Qing He is a beautifully refreshing blue-green aquamarine. As the chromatography shows, blue features heavily, giving the ink a very tropical feel. The gold shimmer is very fine with exactly the right amount to make you think it’s captured the sun. It shades nicely, too, with almost every stroke blending the lights of blues with the darks of aquamarine greens. The result is like moving waters under a blazing sun. I absolutely love it!
This is a decent writing Ink. For best results, I recommend a well-balanced writer, neither overly wet or dry. It’s a wet ink, and you might find a little feather with a really wet pen on uncoated paper. Drying was quick on uncoated papers, but fairly slow on coated. There’s some nice edge darkening on coated papers, and no problems with feathering at all. Stick to coated papers.
I definitely recommend Qing He (and Tramol inks, in general). It’s gorgeous and writes well, and Tramol inks are an incredible bargain. I got an 18ml bottle (I’ve also seen a 25ml bottle) for around US$4 with shipping from “Dingyi Boutique Store” on AliExpress (you get a discount on shipping with multiple bottles). I chose three of the sixteen inks in the shimmer series and will likely order more soon! Enjoy!
