Ñ Mediterráneo - Flabellina - Ink drop

Ñ was created by a small group of passionate people in the Spanish pen & ink FB community. Mediterráneo is a beautiful, limited-edition, 3-ink series inspired by the Mediterranean Sea. These gorgeous, high-quality inks were created by Pennonia Inks in Hungary. The Prodis Foundation, a group providing employment and social integration for people with intellectual disabilities, handled assembly. All profits go to this fantastic organization.

Ñ Mediterráneo - Flabellina - Ink color range

Named for a cute, vibrant nudibranch common to the Mediterranean, Flabellina is a gorgeous electric violet. It has a beautiful glow and looks fantastic on the page. There’s good shading and a nice edging on some papers. Visually, this is a fresh, energetic violet with lots of smile!

In the pen, it flows smoothly and dries quickly. It performed very well on all six test papers, but has slightly more personality on coated papers. It’s a lovely writing ink!

This is a beautiful series, and a great project to support! The Ñ Mediterráneo inks were limited to 50 bottles of each color, so they weren’t available for long. I’m hoping that they’ll produce a second series in the future.
