Tono & Lims - Tsokolate Krema
Tono & Lims Tsokolate Krema - Ink drop
This is a Tono & Lims ink made in collaboration with Tinta & Teksto, a recently opened store in Davao City, The Philippines dedicated to pens, inks, and all the creative joy that they bring! This is also a 2025 special edition for the FPN-Philippines Davao City club. Tsokolate Krema is named after the creamy, chocolate drink, and this ink is a delicious way to celebrate the hobby that brings us all together!
Ink Swatches on Cosmo Air Light and Tomoe River
As the name implies, this is a rich, creamy dark chocolate brown. It’s the dark brown of a fine robusto cigar, or the deep brown of a polished piece of dark mahogany wood. You feel the creaminess in areas of light shading, which give it the look of the froth on a cappucino. There is a red undertone that really comes through on Takasago Bank paper, and hints of sheening on most high-quality papers. I like the variety of looks with this ink.

I also really like the feel and flow of this ink. In feel, there’s more substance and viscosity than I find in many of Tono & Lims inks. It gives it a very luxurious writing experience. In terms of performance, it was consistent and clean on almost all papers. As you can see, there is a bit of micro-feathering in spots on Cosmo Air Snow, but I didn’t encounter this problem on any other papers. Drying times were exactly what I expected from an ink with this look and feel — nothing to be concerned with at all.
