Troublemaker Dusk (Kilom Kilom) - Ink drop

Dusk is a three-ink series collaboration between Troublemaker Inks and @pensandturquoisebrown. It was released by Endless Pens through Hatch their collaborative project that lets creative designers and makers explore their inspirations. This series was released as a set or individually. In addition, they were released to accompany a pen called Dusk that was a collaboration between @pensandturquoisebrown and the Turkish pen company Kilk. Although the pen and one of the three inks is sold out, as of writing, two of the inks are still available.

Dusk is a lovely lavender, grey, blue-green chromo-shading ink. It’s hard to pin down exactly whatcolor you might find, as it changes from paper to paper, and broader nibs let the color-changing magic really happen. Overall, the base is probably most often a greyish purple, but it leans more green on some papers. The shading and center-stroke color blending is beautiful. I really like it!

In all cases, writing performance was consistently good. Strokes are clean and well-defined. There was no feathering, and bleed-through was far less a problem than I imagined it might be. Flow was neutral to wet and very comfortable. Drying times were also very short, especially considering the moderately wet flow. This is a beautiful writing ink.

This and the other two inks in this series (as well as the Kilk collaboration pen) were all originally available at Endless Pens. They come in Troublemakers standard, and very generous, 60 ml bottles. As of writing, I believe Dusk is sold out, but the other two in the series (Dream and Nightmare) are still available. Individually, the bottles are around US$20. Get them, if you can!

Thank you to my friend, @pensandturquoisebrown. She was visiting Korea and included samples of her series in a gift package. Really nice!
