Wearingeul - Heimdall
Wearingeul Heimdall - Ink drop
I’ve been looking forward to this ink since it first came out in 2024. Heimdall is from Wearingeul’s World Myth series. My last review was Wearingeul’s Siddhartha, which is similar but darker and leans even more on the red side. They are both beauties!

Heimdall is a bold and fiery dark orange, but the darker tones are balanced nicely by the light orange or yellows or the fairer shaded stroke ends. Heimdall shades more regularly than Siddhartha. Compared with Siddhartha, Heimdall’s darkest shades never quite reach the reds. This is a punchy and prominent orange in all aspects. Orange lovers will enjoy Heimdall very much. As you can see, there is that same dusty or powdered quality to the color on Cosmo Air Light paper. On all others tested, it was pure orange from light to dark.

Performance was good. It has a nice flow and writes neutral to slightly wet. I’d call it luxurious in feel, and it’s very comfortable on the page. Strokes were largely crisp and clean, but like Siddhartha, it is sensitive to fingerprints on the page. In those areas there is minimal micro-feathering, but nothing to really worry about. Drying times were average to just a bit longer, but again, nothing of concern. This is a good writing ink.

As with all Wearingeul inks, you’ll find it in the square, 30 ml bottles. Again, Wearingeul packaging is tasteful and sophisticated, and the double-layered box means shipping won’t bring you any inky surprises. Enjoy!
